Materials Manager – Bilingual Mandarin – San Jose, CA
Salary Range: $80K - $95K

We’re partnering with a global electronics manufacturer to find a talented Materials Manager to help drive efficiency in production operations from their San Jose location.
Overview:
As a Materials Manager, you’ll be key to ensuring smooth production operations by managing inventory, production planning, warehouse logistics, supplier relationships, and delivery schedules. If you have a solid background in inventory control, lean manufacturing, and are familiar with Oracle EBS, this could be the perfect role for you.
Responsibilities:
Oversee material status for various projects, ensuring timely delivery and avoiding production delays.
Resolve material shortages by working with suppliers, brokers, or clients.
Communicate material status updates with clients and ensure clear tracking.
Negotiate pricing and lead times with suppliers and brokers.
Provide raw material quotes to clients and manage the logistics of timely shipments.
Address incoming shipment issues, such as quality concerns or RMA requests.
Coordinate material repair efforts and handle returns and credits.
Work closely with the Incoming Quality Assurance team to resolve discrepancies.
Ensure smooth coordination with customs brokers to avoid shipment delays.
Keep the Bill of Materials (BOM) updated and aligned with production plans.
Collaborate with the production, warehouse, and PM teams to ensure material availability aligns with build plans.
Assist buyers in expediting materials, resolving PO issues, and managing material samples.
Partner with suppliers and internal teams to find alternate parts when needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in materials management or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of inventory control, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and act swiftly.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including Mandarin fluency.
