Universal Health Services ENV SVCS WKR/HOUSEKEEPER in SAN MARCOS, Texas

Responsibilities

San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212-bed, seclusion free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of Central Texas! San Marcos spreads across 65-acres with an abundance of trees and wildlife. We have 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development levels with two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, sports court, playing fields, ropes course, canteen, social area, and a healing trail. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.

This position is for a Fulltime Housekeeper. Work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3 pm. Some weekend rotation required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Criminal History background check.

    Position Summary : Assures a healthy and safe environment through routine and deep cleaning. Cleans and maintains assigned units, school, and office areas and equipment. Provides collection and distribution of linen. Prepares patients’ rooms for admission and then again after discharge. Follows appropriate infection control and safety procedures. Provides cleaning products and materials to all buildings, replenishing stock routinely. Works on special projects and assignments. Adheres to facility’s standards regarding training. Maintains satisfactory attendance and punctuality per facility standards and policies.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, and sitting. Intermittent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stopping, using arms/legs/or back muscles frequently or for extended periods. Frequent carrying weights 2-10 pounds, infrequent carrying of weights greater than 40 pounds.
