Job Description
AECOM is looking to hire an Assistant Construction Project Manager to support AECOM's ongoing multi-year program management contract with Georgia Port Authority (GPA). GPA is one of the fastest-growing ports in the nation and a major force in global trade with a staggering $4.5 billion in planned investments over the next decade. You will be joining an established team and support the Construction Program Manager in the procurement, oversight, and inspection for the delivery of a wide variety of projects including electrical and communication systems, complex marine terminals, container gates, container yards, intermodal rail, utilities, and other port/marine related engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Assist the Program Management team with administrative tasks on moderately sized projects or portions of larger projects, following established guidelines.
Organize and execute assignments according to standard practices, instructions, or previous training.
Interface with the design team and contractors to address project questions and issues.
Assist with and monitor change orders.
Support regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
Review project costs, contractor pay applications, and schedules to ensure project completion aligns with the established contract value.
Utilize document control systems, project management systems, and other software or databases to maintain accurate and up-to-date information flow.
Lead meetings and report on project tasks.
Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements by performing inspection duties.
Conduct daily field inspections and maintain inspection records.
Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Coordinate the quality assurance testing program.
Qualifications
Minimum;
BA/BS + 2 years of construction project management experience or similar experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
A valid US driver’s license to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices and pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $30.24/hour - $43.09/hour.
