Job Summary and Qualifications

• This is a 7-on / 7-off position, responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to adults and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department. Memorial Health is the only Level 1 trauma center in southeast Georgia. The children’s ER, in the Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children's Hospital of Savannah offers advanced, full-service pediatric emergency care. Additional responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to adult and pediatric trauma response, code blue response, code sepsis response, code stroke response with bedside thrombolytic administration, pharmacokinetic dosing, drug information, and patient counseling. The position may also provide clinical support for our adult Med/Surg and Critical Care patient populations for portions of the shift. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: ·Minimum of three (3) years of experience in hospital pharmacy · PGY1 Pharmacy Residency preferred · PGY2 Emergency Medicine or Critical Care residency preferred · Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification preferred ·Experience in I.V. admixture and unit dose drug distribution system required EDUCATION: · B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy ·Educational requirements appropriate for meeting age-specific needs of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
