Meta Business Development Manager- Optical Go-To-Market Seattle, Washington

Summary:

Realty Labs & AI Partnerships team forge and grow product-defining partnerships in areas where Meta is investing for the long-term. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead go-to-market (GTM) deals that grow our smart glasses prescription optical business with our strategic partner. The Business Development Go-to-Market (GTM BD) Manager will work with our strategic partner and internal teams to structure and negotiate GTM deals and global launches to expand our partnership and reach of our smart glasses optical business. The GTM BD manager will work closely with Sales, Product, Product Marketing, and Sales Operations to negotiate deals with our partner to increase third-party (3P) optical prescription channels, activations and velocity in 3P doors. This is an external-facing role that works closely with our strategic partner to manage the account, develop joint growth strategies, expand our product offering and translate account needs to internal product roadmap. The GTM BD manager will work with our partner and internal teams to improve the prescription customer experience and order fulfillment processes. A successful candidate brings in-depth experience in business development and partnerships in the retail prescription optical industry to secure partner support and close GTM initiatives that grow our optical business, expand globally, improve the end to end customer experience, open up new distribution strategies and expand our existing strategic partnership.

Required Skills:

Business Development Manager- Optical Go-To-Market Responsibilities:

  1. Conceive, structure and negotiate go-to-market deals and global launches that drive growth in optical prescription wearables category

  2. Work with external strategic partner and internal teams to increase optical prescription wholesale channel door expansion and activations in 3P doors

  3. Manage strategic account to forge relationships, develop growth strategies, monitor performance metrics and translate account needs to internal product roadmap

  4. Support comprehensive, cross-functional optical fulfillment activities including new initiatives, policy, and product performance

  5. Support PMM, PM, Sales, and Sales Operations to improve the prescription customer experience and order fulfillment operational flows and scale

  6. Identify opportunities and represent the view of the partner and market through industry research, data & competitive analysis, and competitive intelligence.

  7. Expand customer selection through our partnership to increase product offerings

  8. Close partnership deals in support of global prescription expansion

  9. Influence product and marketing strategy to align with partner needs and key terms.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS in Business or Marketing-related field or similar work experience

  2. 8+ years experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development in the prescription optical industry

  3. Experience structuring Go-to-Market business development partnerships with third-parties in the optical industry

  4. Experience managing strategic partners and overall account management

  5. Experience in the prescription optical operational flows and driving initiatives to scale

  6. Experience working with Sales, Product, Sales Operations to drive a unified strategy

  7. Knowledge of Consumer Electronic market, industry trends, market conditions and competitive landscape

  1. 10+ years of experience leading business development and account management in the prescription optical industry

  2. Experience negotiating and structuring go-to-market, distribution and market entry terms globally in the prescription optical industry

  3. Experience managing strategic business partnerships

  4. Demonstrated experience in technical and operational understanding of the product and prescription order fulfillment processes

  5. Experience contributing in setting strategic direction and scaling operations

  6. Proven experience to identify key strategic concerns quickly, operate within ambiguity, and drive internal stakeholders to a consensus

Public Compensation:

$159,000/year to $223,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
