Blue Origin LLC Dimensional Inspector & Programmer - (Day Shift) in Seattle, Washington

As part of a small, hardworking and accomplished team of specialists, you will inspect development and flight vehicle components for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of providing accurate data on tight tolerance high value components to determine configuration per engineering designs. Responsibilities: Handle preparations for parts requiring CMM Inspection Software Quality Assurance Program, setup and operate CMM; laser tracker; FARO arm; Blue Light system Perform Manual Layout on granite table of sophisticated hardware Using design data to inspect machined and received components Perform first article, in-process & final inspections Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data Document, track and complete nonconformance reports Provide inspection time estimates Maintain and track inspection equipment calibrations Process improvement Maintain configuration control on files and job records Safely work within an industrial environment First Shift (Mon - Thurs 5am - 3:30pm 4X10) Qualifications: A minimum of 10 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components. CMM inspection programming and operation. Outstanding blue print reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 or 2009 standard. Excellent interpersonal skills. Proficient in the use of precision hand tools, gauges, optical comparator, and surface plate work Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components. Familiar with the use of personal computers. Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: CAD system knowledge, preferably Pro E. Cognitens CoreView or ATOS Professional DMIS, PC-DMIS & Creo Experience- The CMMs this role will interface with CAMIO & MODUS- w/REVO Head PC DMIS NC on machine inspection. Faro and Verisurf knowledge. Basic machining knowledge. Familiar with Mastercam preferably X6 or higher. Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware. Outside processing knowledge (Additive Manufacturing, heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.) Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $33.27-$46.00 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
