David Evans and Associates EIT Bridge Engineer in Seattle, Washington

DEA's Seattle, WA office is seeking a Bridges and Structures Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support transportation and transit related projects as part of our Bridge and Structures team. In this role our EIT Bridge Engineer your responsibilities will be diverse and will include working closely with multidisciplinary design teams across multiple office locations, offering the opportunity to grow professionally while making meaningful contributions to complex infrastructure projects. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Support the Bridges and Structures practice by contributing to all stages of project delivery. Assist designers, engineers, and project managers with project setup, drafting, design, and project coordination/organization tasks. Collaborate and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams across different offices to ensure seamless project execution. Participate in project and team meetings, providing input and maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis Licensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months (dependent on testing availability due to pandemic) 0-4 years of applicable bridge design experience Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a heavy emphasis on Excel and Word Knowledge in drafting software applications such as Microstation/ORD, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D Applicant must have a valid driver's license and clear motor vehicle report Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of AASHTO and representative state DOT bridge design standards Proficiency in current structural design software applications, with an emphasis on bridge design software, such as CSiBridge, Midas, SAP2000, PG Super, or Conspan.
