Job Description

We’re looking for a Human Resources professional with strong analytical skills to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for providing analytical, organizational, and administrative support to the Vice President, HR and Director, HR Business Partner for Holland America Line and Seabourn. You’ll contribute to key priorities and strategic objectives of the HR Team by gathering and processing qualitative and quantitative employment data and you’ll provide support in special projects, management of the HR Team function and Leadership Team, and communication strategy. You’ll also act as the VP, HR’s point of contact for external and internal inquiries, coordinate meetings, travel, and special events.
In addition, you’ll collaborate with HR professionals and other departments to develop meaningful data reports that can be used to guide the organization’s strategy and performance. The HR Analyst will need to utilize a variety of analysis tools and methodologies to examine employee data. This role will need to be able to make decisions, prioritize tasks, and problem solve independently with a high sense of urgency on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:
Analysis, Reporting, and Metrics:
Respond to and complete complex adhoc and recurring data and report requirements for the CHRO, HAL-SBN HR, and other departments
Develop and analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making
Identify trends and draw useful conclusions to identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions for enhanced performance
Design, develop, and analyze reports and presentations for all aspects of HR
Support larger HR initiatives by consolidating data, updating charts, and preparing reports and presentations
Work with key stakeholders to understand requirements, develop sustainable data solutions, and provide insights and recommendations
Work independently and take initiative to identify, explore, and solve problems
HR Programs/Projects:
- Support and coordinate adhoc programs and projects, such as engagement survey, new hire orientation, etc.
Administrative:
Manage the CHRO and Director, HR Business Partner calendars
Coordinate flights, visas, transfers, and hotel accommodations
Coordinate HR Team regular and adhoc meetings, onsite and offsite
Assist in maintaining employee records
General HR Team support and HR Team point of contact in the Seattle office
Check for and sort mail
Employee Engagement:
Team Effectiveness and Team Building events (virtual and in office)
HR Team onboarding and offboarding support
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, or a related field
1 to 3 years of data analysis and reporting experience
1 to 3 years of admin experience
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v-lookup, x-lookup, pivot tables required)
Strong knowledge of Power Point, Outlook, and Teams
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and follow through
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Ability to perform well amid changing priorities and under strict deadlines
Ability to quickly gain knowledge of the company/department, product/function, and internal organizational structure
Experience using HRIS or other reporting systems a plus
Demonstrates professionalism and strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact well with personnel of all levels of the organization including other Carnival Corporation Brands
Demonstrates confidentiality, strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow through.

Base Hourly Range: $26.73 to $36.06. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
