Carnival Cruise Line Manager, RAAS - Maritime Audit Services - Hybrid in Seattle, Washington

We’re looking for an amazing Manager, RAAS – Maritime Audit Services to fill this role which is hybrid and can be located in either Seattle, WA or Miami, FL. You’ll primarily responsible for assisting the Head of Maritime Audit Services in ensuring that shipboard operations and procedures are followed in accordance with the Safety Management System Corporate Standards and that relevant International, National, Flag State and Local Regulations are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Enter completed audit reports into the corporate tracking system for review and action.

  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with operating management and project a positive and proactive image of Maritime Audit Services.

  • Assess follow-up and report on management's progress in implementing agreed upon opportunities.

  • Provide supervision, training and coaching to staff on an ongoing basis.

  • Undertake relevant training, networking and studies as required ensuring continuing professional development and adherence established maritime audit standards.

  • Perform investigations, as assigned.

  • To perform any other reasonable duties as and when required.

  • Assist with planning the audit schedule, follow-up visits and other visits required for the company, including focus reviews.

  • Meet with the Governance/Compliance teams to review the findings obtained during the audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Maritime, Environmental disciplines preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Minimum 2 years sailing as Safety Officer on passenger vessel, or

  • Minimum 2 years sailing as First Engineer on passenger vessel (preferred), or

  • Minimum 2 years sailing as Environmental Officer, with technical experience/background.

  • Chief Officer License or First Engineer Officer license as per STCW.

  • ISM Lead Auditor Environmental highly preferred.

  • Master Mariner or Marine Chief Officer certification highly preferred.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

This is a hybrid/in office position and can be located in either Seattle. WA or Miami, FL .

  • Base Salary Range: $100,200.00-$135,300.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
