Amazon CloudFront is a web service for content delivery and one of the cornerstones of AWS. We bring the Internet closer to end users, speeding up the user experience. CloudFront integrates with other Amazon Web Services to give developers and businesses an easy way to distribute content (webpages, games, movies, live streams, etc.) to end users with low latency and high data transfer speeds. CloudFront Functions and Lambda@Edge, edge compute capabilities, offer customers serverless edge computing environment to implement advanced application logic closer to the viewers delivering better performance, scalability and security.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to drive the growth of Amazon CloudFront . Your responsibilities will include engaging our customers directly to identify new capabilities, defining product features, and working closely with cross-functional teams to get those features in the hands of our customers. You will have a strong pulse on customer needs, the competitive landscape, and industry trends.

Successful candidates will enjoy working in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and are comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. Candidates must have excellent analytical capabilities, be comfortable diving deep into data, have strong writing skills, and lead executive-level reviews. Candidates must have a track record of understanding customer needs and delivering technology solutions to address those needs.

The role is based in Seattle (WA).

Key job responsibilities

As a senior product manager, you will drive our strategy and product roadmap providing industry leading experiences for delivery of requests using CloudFront. You will define the roadmap for how we build world class observability for the customers. You will have end-to-end product responsibility from working with key customers to delivering revolutionary new features and functionality. In addition, you will lead launch activities, relentlessly dive deep with customers and AWS teams, author and present data-driven narratives to AWS leadership, and drive strategic decisions. You will truly understand what it means to operate, build, and grow a business.

A day in the life

As a Senior Product Manager at CloudFront, you will be at the forefront of steering product strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape and bring to fruition the next wave of capabilities for the service. Additionally, you will devise product solutions, create go-to-market strategies, and cultivate business relationships to fully realize the market potential and benefits achievable by leveraging AWS technologies in the enterprise sector.

We are looking for a candidate that is obsessed with delivering the most customer-centric experience on the planet, showing proven success in ownership, bias for action, and thinking big. This leader will need to exhibit excellent judgment, prioritizing between existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence. We are looking for strong business owners who are comfortable sharing their vision with AWS senior leadership, but also working closely with engineering teams to dive deep into details to make ideas into reality.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders and drive product success

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a proven track record in managing web, networking, infrastructure, and/or security products and services

  • 7+ years of professional work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience in a related industry / field

  • Demonstrated experience driving product ownership and growth

  • Proven success in delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or similar degree

  • Experience with modern software development, web development frameworks, APIs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
