About this role

Business Division: General Business Support, APAC-Reg Exec

Comprising part of our management team, the General Business Support Analyst/Associate will work closely with the various business functions in the BlackRock Korea office, including business management, finance, HR, Client Business, Legal and Compliance, and Operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive backup support to various functions within BlackRock Korea.

The role:

The Business Support Manager reports directly to the Korea COO the works with various functional team. This position will offer the successful candidate to gain experience and understanding of general operations of a foreign asset management firm in Korea. This position requires a proactive individual who can seamlessly assist in Finance, Marketing, Legal and Compliance, Human Resources, and other departments as needed. The ideal candidate will possess good analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail to ensure the smooth operation of cross-functional activities.

Responsibilities:

​Financ e Support:

Manage Corporate Services expense spend and invoice management.

Invoice documentation including legal and marketing invoices.

Marketing Support:

Producing monthly/quarterly factsheets and upload on KSD

Assist in organizing and coordinating marketing events and campaigns.

Legal and Compliance Support:

Assist in maintaining and updating legal and compliance documentation.

Support the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance reports.

Human Resources Support:

Support HR initiatives such as onboarding, training, and employee engagement activities.

Maintain and update employee records.

General Administrative Support:

Provide administrative assistance, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing presentations.

Handle correspondence and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Support corporate events and initiatives across various departments.

Support general enterprise services tasks, when necessary

Operations Support:

Provide back up for operations team daily BAU activities, such as BOK/KOFIA reports, fund accounting activities, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years' experience in financial industry

  • BA/BS Degree in related field (Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing)

  • Strong familiarity with computer applications (i.e. Excel, VBA, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

  • Demonstrates a real passion to learn the various functions within an asset management firm

  • Ability to work with numbers and basic knowledge of statistics

  • High ethical standards and strong work ethic

  • Acts with integrity and with the desire to do the right thing for clients

  • Strong interpersonal skills -- Ability to build rapport with team members

  • Strong execution skills and continuous positive, improvement mindset

  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment

  • Excellent Teamwork mind-set and thoughtful communication skills

  • Commitment to gaining relevant knowledge, skills and experience; willingness to learn from “bottom-up”

  • Native Korean speaker and proficient English communication skills
