What will I be doing?

As the Director Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) Strategic Development in China, this position will support the overall growth strategy in the region in its efforts to originate leads for new hotel projects. Works with the wider Development team in its efforts to ensure all development goals, key measurements and targets in the region are met or exceeded. Responsible for collecting data for, preparing and submitting owner applications. Prepares committee documents for all deals that need a further level of approval.

Responsibilities Director Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) Strategic Development Greater China & Mongolia(GCM), will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Brand strategy formulation: Responsible for formulating and implementing the development strategy of Hilton Garden Inn brand, including market segmentation, target customer group planning, and other aspects. Conduct market research and analysis, regularly submit industry dynamics and competitive intelligence analysis reports, provide support for senior decision-making, and develop long-term brand vision and short-term goals to ensure consistency between brand strategy and overall company strategy.
  • Communication and strategic adjustment: The strategic director must effectively communicate the organization's strategy to senior management, team members, and other stakeholders, and ensure that all levels of the organization are aligned with and working towards the same goals.
  • Expand business scope: Plan and execute Hilton Garden Inn's expansion plan in new markets, including seeking new business cooperation opportunities, expanding distribution channels (including local cultural and tourism, various levels of government, industry associations, and third-party hotel management companies), and entering emerging markets. Work closely with regional teams and assist in collecting project information to ensure the smooth implementation of expansion plans while achieving individual project development targets and achieving GCM development goals.
  • Project Planning and Marketing: Assist the Vice President of Development in driving the execution of the Hilton Garden Inndevelopment project, ensuring timely and high-quality completion, and controlling project costs and risks. Guide and plan brand promotion activities and marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and market share.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum Years of Experience: 15 years in strategic planning, business development, or consulting with solid experience in leading teams and managing large-scale projects.

• Minimum bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, finance, or economics, MBA or a Master degree in strategy preferred.

• Management Experience (type): Managerial

• Minimum Years of Management Experience: 8 years

• Additional Requirements (i.e. % of travel time, etc.):

• Ability to travel as required (approximately 50%)
