Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.
As a Manager I, Project Management Engineering, you will be a key member of the global Appliances Engineering Excellence team. This role will provide execution, change management, and thought leadership on engineering productivity and standardization, project management, and TEOA for engineering. This role will drive cross-functional support with global stakeholders to implement innovative process solutions, increasing engineering productivity & ultimately improving our customer experience. This role will also lead a small team of data analysts who will monitor KPI’s & identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
• Champion change and standardization across the organization to drive efficiencies that lead to cultural, structural, process, and talent agility.
• Lead TEOA Star Level improvements aligned with KPIs.
• Lead data analytics team responsible for developing and delivering the data collection and reporting metrics for Engineering KPIs.
• Manage the continuous improvement pipeline and report monthly status of initiatives to leadership.
• Enable the right amount of project visibility and schedule execution with stakeholders and customers to create and deliver winning products.
What your background should look like:
Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required – Master’s degree or higher preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of Continuous Improvement, Project Management, or related experience
• Minimum of Six Sigma Green Belt certification desired
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop a team.
• Fluent in English with superior Communication and Influencing Skills.
• Change leader who can build consensus. Must be able to effectively work & build strong relationships with people of diverse cultural and functional backgrounds. Can connect the strategy to needed execution.
• Possesses a strong ability to analyze data, use critical thinking to reach logical conclusions, and persuade others.
• Proficiency in standard reporting/presentation tools and data analysis.
• Innovative thinker who is able to quickly understand processes & interdependencies between functions, drilling down to key areas for improvement.
• Experience with developing and/or deploying AI-based enhancements is a plus.
