JOB REQUIREMENTS: Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information. Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design, performance specifications, or environmental regulations. Develop or test models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification. Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs. Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions. Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems or needs. Design test control apparatus or equipment or develop procedures for testing products. Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, or repair to ensure that machines or equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications. Design integrated mechanical or alternative systems, such as mechanical cooling systems with natural ventilation systems, to improve energy efficiency. Direct the installation, operation, maintenance, or repair of renewable energy equipment, such as heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) or water systems. Evaluate mechanical designs or prototypes for energy performance or environmental impact. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: BASIC FUNCTION As a Senior Project Engineer at Kohler Co., you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the company. Based at our Corporate Headquarters, the Manufacturing Engineering team is pivotal in driving Kohler\'s growth and transformation. Your responsibilities will include designing, guiding, managing, and coordinating the implementation of industrial control systems and building management systems (BMS) for new and existing Production Test Cells. A primary focus of this role is contributing to Kohler\'s Digital Transformation/Smart Factory initiatives. This involves collaborating closely with teams focused on the factory floor, making the connection to vital support infrastructure pertaining to the Test Cells and electrical distribution networks. Your tasks will encompass system design, oversight of installations, programming, diagnostics, troubleshooting, project management, and providing training on control and visualization systems for facilities and utility equipment. Additionally, you\'ll support Production Maintenance and Plant Engineering when required, augmenting their capabilities. The ideal candidate for this position is highly collaborative, possesses a deep technical and operational understanding, and is dedicated to introducing effective digital tools across the business.
