ManTech Electrical Engineer in Silverdale, Washington
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team in Silverdale, WA. This is an onsite position.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will support the U.S. Navy's efforts on a portfolio of engineering services, specializing in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for acoustics applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior engineers on design reviews, troubleshooting, and implementing technical solutions for Navy-related acoustics systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and develop electrical systems and components to meet specific requirements for underwater acoustics
Create and test circuit designs to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance for underwater applications
Conduct system testing and validation to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards
Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality
Prepare detailed documentation, including schematics, blueprints, and technical reports, for electrical systems
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during the design and installation phases
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to meet project goals and timelines
Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and integrate them into current projects
Provide cost estimations and budget preparation for electrical system components
The ability to travel within the United States for meetings and site visits (up to 10%)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited University, preferably in Electrical Engineering
Five (5) or more years of related experience in electrical engineering, including analog signal conditioning (e.g., PreAmp, amplifiers, filters)
Five (5) or more years of experience in PCB design software (e.g., Altium, KiCAD, Eagle), MATLAB, C programming (Eclipse, NI CVI), NI LabView, and Linux-based operating systems (RedHat, CentOS)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ocean engineering, in-water array design, calibration, validation, and maintenance in harsh environments
Familiarity with underwater acoustic tracking systems, including knowledge of geometry, frequencies, and signal types
Experience in hydrophone calibration, including the derivation of data products such as Free Field Voltage Sensitivity, Open Circuit Voltage Sensitivity, and Electrical Coupling
Experience with FPGA design, including Altera, Xilinx, Actel, Lattice devices, and VHDL programming
Experience with deploying, configuring, and using hydrophones and portable measurement systems
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time while working at a computer or other office equipment
Ability to move around the office to access files and equipment and attend meetings
