In this role, the Country Sales Operations Manager will work closely with the Country Sales Leaders, Sales Managers, Account Managers etc. and with the APJ AGS and WW-AGS teams to continuously evolve forecasting models, analyze historic results, and make business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. This will include working with the Country and ASEAN Sales Operations leadership to develop, implement and manage the Business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize Business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives.

The Country Sales Operations Manager will drive improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to AWS's customers. This individual also manages the administration and execution of the team’s goals, including segmentation of business goals, measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various demand generation campaigns and proposing improvements to the Business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results.

This role is not a "fixed job-description" type of role. The rapid changing nature of cloud business and Amazon's rapid rate of change and innovation means the successful candidate will operate best in environments of ambiguity and will find satisfaction in both large-scale history-making work and minor day-to-day activities alike. The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, and work directly with models/data and is passionate about their work, is detail-oriented, analytical, and has excellent problem-solving abilities and will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them. The individual will have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, outstanding analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate for their customers to other internal stakeholders. Active collaboration with leadership in AWS Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Compensation will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities. The individual will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the design, development, maintenance, and delivery/presentation of forecasting models, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions

  • Working with the local management, lead the Annual planning, goaling, and ongoing forecasting processes.

  • Lead the development and provision of routine and ad-hoc analytic reports to AWS senior management regarding Business Development initiatives, customer segment performance, performance against goals, etc. Ensure reports contribute to business insight and decision-making, and minimize overall report burden.

  • Lead the modeling and development of recommendations for segment sizing, global allocations, and alignments.

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of existing and emerging 3rd party data sources as needed for Analytics.

On a typical day, you'd be working with several leaders sharing your vision, data and ideas on bringing the best to our customers by prioritising best initiatives, sharing what is working and what is not, and writing your thoughts on taking the team performance to next level. You'd also be working with several of your peers across the world sharing your lessons and learning from their experiences to bring the best to the Geo and share the best from Geo.

About the team

We are seeking an experienced Sales Operations Manager to partner with Country Sales Leadership in ASEAN to define, land and execute against the strategic priorities. This role will create and implement success metrics for the organization, and drive predictability in operations, planning, goals setting, strategic initiatives, as well as reporting and success measuring of the key internal initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong sales operations and strategy background, planning experience, broad technical skills, strong financial acumen and a passion for analytics and data.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

  • Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

  • Exhibits sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and ability to learn new tools/process quickly
