Sanofi Group Senior Engineer I, Automation (Building Management System), EVF in Singapore, Singapore
Mission
Sanofi is preparing its future through an ambitious program named Evolutive Vaccine Facility (EVF). The EVF Project is at the cornerstone of Sanofi strategy as it aims at creating a new manufacturing concept consisting of a new generation of evolutive multi-product facilities, modular, adaptable, and agile, leveraging new disruptive technologies, to better address vaccine business challenges.
The EVF Automation Engineer is a mid-carrier individual contribution role expected to work with multiple stake holders to establish end to end (Design, Implement, Validate and Operate) innovative instrument solutions and align with Industry and Digital 4.0 initiatives.
The mission’s scope requires a high interactive collaboration with the various best in class, Instrument vendors, Automation solution providers, consultants, and external skid vendors.
The EVF Senior Automation engineer (BMS) will report to Senior Manager, Process Control and Automation
Key accountabilities
Project Requirements
Support the development of BMS Automation systems for the new greenfield facility by understanding the full requirements of Black utilities (Chiller, Boiler etc.) /HVAC and Electrical syst.
Troubleshoot automation system related issues in manufacturing plant’s day to day operations
Ensure the reliability and performance of automation system, proactively addressed and potential safety, and quality issues, regularly review, and address frequent occurring alarms
Participate or lead quality or safety investigations and implement any automation solutions resultant from these investigations
Monitor and maintain automation systems and ensure system operations are optimized. Ensure periodic preventive maintenance of automation syst are carried out and perform periodic review of automation systems
Review the construction drawings such as Cable tray layouts, Location layout, loop drawings etc based on project specification.
Review the interface specifications provided by the Vendors and ensure the same are implemented on the site BMS systems
Implement the big data analytics for the black utilities and ensure the Energy efficiency and Green mark objectives are met
Implement a fully digitalized plant as part of Sanofi vision.
Ensure the hardware design and Infrastructure is done as par the industry regulatory and latest digital standards
Manage the cybersecurity requirements and work closely with digital team to implement a safe working environment free from cyber threats.
Operational requirements
Support the development of calibration, procedures and plans that improve productivity, business operations and safety/quality standards
Troubleshoot the instruments and its related communication interface issues with BMS.
Perform the vendor audits required to maintain the quality of Automation supplied.
Act as a technical expert regarding the calibration issues during the inspections and regulatory audits.
Develop, revise, and review SOPs as needed. Ensure the all the instrument and related syst compliance up-keep
Ensure the training requirements are met for the contractors who are part of the BMS/ team
Maintain the instrument index and IO list with respect to every unit on site w.r.t BMS.
Validate any new syst or changes to the existing syst on site.
Accountability
Safety, Design, quality, on time completion within budget for the assigned packages.
Report the predefine KPI to management for implementing Instrument selection for the project.
Education and Experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Automation/Control/ Electronic/Electrical/Chemical Engineering
Knowledge on OT-IT will be added advantage.
Industrial experience in the Bio pharmaceutical/Vaccines/API business or equivalent
Experienced in commissioning smart sensors
Experienced in Automation syst (Schneider BMS)
Experienced with startup of Black utilities and HVAC syst.
Industrial networks knowledge is must (Modbus TCP/IP, Bacnet IP, Bacnet MSTP, IO Link, OPC UA)
Preferred 3-5 years in Managing the Automation on greenfield/brownfield
Good technical knowledge coupled with hands-on working experience in pharmaceutical/ vaccines plant engineering services.
Individual lead contribution in a small to medium scale project execution track record.
Working knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88 and S95 industry standards
Good knowledge in pharmaceutical regulatory market requirements and experience in participation of Audits. Eg;- FDA, EMA, HSA & etc.,
Knowledge in Singapore local statutory regulatory requirements, code of practices related to process industry projects.
Good knowledge in project procurement to handle vendor & subcontract management, RFQ, tender review, technical and commercial bid analysis report for the projects proposed.
