Job Summary:

Leads and directs the manufacturing of all products and production at the Jurong plant to ensure reliable and stable delivery of products. Delivers schedules across all production areas including collaboration with other functions to develop efficient processes and continuous improvements for the site. As part of the site leadership team, this role is key in delivering the overall vision for the site, constantly initiating improvements to ensure processes meet present and future requirements for the site in terms of workforce capability, quality, HSE, growth, flexibility and cost improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and plan effective and efficient resources to manufacture products that meet or exceed customer requirements for cost, quality, delivery and service.

  • Utilize business systems, software tools and data analytics to predict and chart production capacity and resource requirements related to forecasted units by product.

  • Identify opportunities to innovate and improve service, minimize scrap, and reduce manufacturing costs, increasing productivity via lean manufacturing and robust problem-solving teams.

  • Troubleshoot production processes, using structured problem solving techniques, to correct product issues and improve process control.

  • Collaborate across functions locally and globally to enable automation, modifications to optimize production processes and outputs.

  • Motivate, develop and engage managers, supervisors, team leads and team members to become self-directed and take ownership of their area.

  • Build high performing teams through selecting and developing the right talents, coaching and conducting performance reviews, engaging and addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner.

  • Drive and manage changes through teams whilst ensuring compliance with the sie’s Quality Management System and in line with the relevant Standards and Regulations- ISO 14644-5 , ISO9001/15378 safety, standard operating procedures.

  • Manage risk, crisis situations and regulatory standards to the highest level of integrity and adherence to the corporate Code of Conduct, thus ensuring business continuity.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences.

  • Experience in leadership and management at a senior level for 7+ years in a relevant or associated business environment.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 7+ years’ experience in a similar position within the manufacturing industry, preferably in rubber or pharmaceutical operations

  • Proven operations management experience of medium to large manufacturing groups, process automation, business and shop floor systems to effectively manage operations

  • Good knowledge of LEAN and 6 sigma manufacturing principles

  • Experience working in a cGMP environment

  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings, specifications, safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals and regulatory documentation

  • Business and budget planning

  • Self-motivated, results- and solution-oriented personality

  • Ability to combine and apply modern process engineering and manufacturing concepts to meet complex tasks.

  • Well-developed communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills (think outside the box).

  • Use written and verbal communication skills effectively.

  • Interpret data, information, and documents to deliver reports to senior management.

  • Result oriented with high level of learning agility.

  • Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company Policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
