Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client’s accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of GAAP, and experience with general accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger

• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions as needed

• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls

• Analyze financial data and generate reports for management review

• Support tax filings, budgeting, and forecasting activities

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Strong organizational and time management skills
