Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Solvang, California

Description We are in search of a Tax Manager specializing in public sectors. The individual will be based in Solvang, California, and will be responsible for a variety of tasks including processing tax returns, managing customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. This role is pivotal in our team's operations and requires a highly organized individual with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and processing various types of tax returns including individual, corporate, partnership, trust, estate, and federal income tax returns

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records to ensure compliance with tax regulations

• Handling customer inquiries related to tax matters in a detail oriented and timely manner

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions based on their tax situation

• Utilizing strong organizational techniques to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Demonstrating proficiency in dealing with multi-state tax issues and choice of entity

• Showcasing expertise in tax research and staying updated with the latest tax laws and regulations

• Providing presentations to staff members, partners, and clients on tax-related topics

• Working in a team-oriented environment with diverse clients and industries to provide intellectual challenges

• Supporting the advancement of our professionals by promoting a flexible culture that balances work responsibilities and personal commitments.

This role does not offer the potential to transition into a contract role. Requirements • Possess expert knowledge in Individual Tax Return

• Proficiency in Corporate Tax Return is mandatory

• Demonstrable experience with Partnership Tax

• Should be capable of handling Trust Tax Returns

• Proficiency in Estate Tax Return is required

• Must have extensive experience in Federal Income Tax Return

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Must have a proven track record of managing a team

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• detail oriented certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is preferred

• Must be proficient in tax software and other related digital tools

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are necessary

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and professionalism

• Strong understanding of state and federal tax regulations is required.
