SAP IT Event Manager (f/m/d) in St. Leon-Rot, Germany

What you`ll do

Do you love working in a highly dynamic work environment with a team of people from around the world? Do you enjoy the challenge of adopting and implementing new technologies? The ability to quickly and purposefully resolve arising issues? Do you like traveling to various event locations across Europe? If so, then this position is perfect for you!

As a member of our team, you will:

  • work with our SAP marketing teams and plan and provide technical support for small to large SAP meetings and events.

  • install and operate IT infrastructure for events (notebooks, servers, mobile devices, tools, and meeting technology)

  • act as IT project manager or support the IT project manager for the respective events

  • produce and support MS Teams live events and host Zoom meetings/Zoom webinars for internal and external audiences of all sizes

  • reflect on your work and assist your team in continuously improving our services

  • ideally program and further develop internal tools for planning and managing events and event equipment or IT services.

What you bring

We are looking for someone who takes initiative, is persistent, and remains curious. We are looking for you if you possess the following qualities:

  • high ability and willingness to work under pressure, even with ad hoc tasks

  • ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks

  • open working style and openness to new ideas

  • Fluent English and German language skills oral and written

  • programming skills in SAP Fiori or other programming languages are a big plus

  • willingness to travel and work weekends is essential

  • 5 years of professional experience in the IT and network environment

  • 3 years of professional experience in event support/event management

  • 3 years of experience as a project manager

To this end, the IT Event Services EMEA team coordinates and delivers all IT services for SAP's customer and employee events within the EMEA region. The team supports over 200 events a year, from small trade show appearances to large events with more than 10,000 participants across Europe. With its logistics center and permanent event spaces at the Walldorf/St. Leon-Rot site, it is permanently deployed at SAP's headquarters.
