Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Production Workers to join our team. Employees will monitor chocolate machines to prevent jams, pack boxes of chocolate shavings, bars, dots, and more. Candidates must also be open to cleaning duties and able to bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs. This role involves mixing, batching, panning, and packing chocolate products in a climate-controlled plant. Some packaging rooms are maintained at 50 degrees at all times. Candidates must be able to work 50 to 60 hours per week and will initially train on the 1st shift before transitioning to the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor chocolate machines to ensure smooth operation and prevent jams.

  • Pack boxes of chocolate products such as shavings, bars, and dots.

  • Perform cleaning duties as required.

  • Mix, batch, pan, and pack chocolate products.

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines in a food manufacturing environment.

  • Maintain a fast-paced work environment and perform tasks that require standing for long periods.

Essential Skills

  • At least 6 months of manufacturing experience, with food manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience in packing, palletizing, visual inspection, machine operation, and blending.

  • Drive and motivation to advance within the company.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work at least 50-hour weeks and up to 60-hour weeks.

  • Willingness to train on the 1st shift and transition to the 2nd shift.

  • Strong attendance, effort, and attitude.

Work Environment

This is a clean, well-lit food manufacturing facility where employees must adhere to all health and safety guidelines. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring a lot of standing. Employees must wear hairnets, beard nets, steel-toed, non-slip shoes, and lab coats. The facility produces chocolate in various forms and maintains some packaging rooms at 50 degrees at all times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
