Jacobs AI Analyst in St Paul, Minnesota
We’re looking for a data scientist with experience with innovative artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI and large language models (LLMs) to support AI solutions across the business for both government and private-sector clients. Based anywhere in the U.S. (hybrid), the ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive AI adoption across various domains. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a degree in computer science, AI, data science, engineering, or similar domain areas, as well as have previous experience in consulting.
The chosen candidate will become a member of the Digital and Data team at Jacobs, helping drive innovation in technical project work for our clients in collaboration with subject matter experts, technologists, engineers, data scientists, project managers, and more.
Location: Remote in the United States. Can also be hybrid if you live close enough to a Jacobs office and want to utilize. .
Key Responsibilities:
Strong technical understanding for supporting AI, GenAI, and LLM solution developments/deployments across the business
Oversight, development, implementation/maintenance, education, and selling of digital AI and digital solutions internally and externally
Cross-collaboration between markets, variable business units, and geographies (global timezones)
Presentations to internal project teams and external stakeholders
Technical report writing and communications
Development, incubation, and scaling of new innovative AI and digital solutions
Strategic discussions/advocacy with leadership and path forward developments for various internal/external initiatives
Investigation, support and maintenance of existing and new AI and digital tools/platforms/solutions
Participate in knowledge sharing and learning across the businesses and domains
Abstract development and submissions for varied conferences/events throughout the year
Anticipate occasional travel for team meetings and client meetings, mainly in North America.
2-5 years of experience in the consulting industry, or similar domains
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI, data science, engineering, or similar domain
Technical proficiency with AI, GenAI, LLM tools/applications/solutions
OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Palantir Foundry/AIP, Open-Source, or similar
Working knowledge with scripting languages such as python, typescript, R, SQL or similar
Ability to travel as necessary to meet project and client requirements
Task management experience
Preferred:
Master’s degree in computer science, AI, data science, engineering, or similar domain
Technical proficiency with tools and platforms such as:
Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Palantir Foundry, Palantir AIP, AWS, Python, Power BI, GIS, and database technology (data lakes, vector database, etc.)
Experience with Geospatial data and software (Esri)
Experience with digital solutions, field-based data capture, and data management best practices
Experience with CAD design and engineering and/or construction related workflows
