Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Food Services Workers to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional meal service to patients in the hospital.

Shift - 6am-6:30pm, 3 days on and 3 days off, including some weekends

Pay - 17$

Location – This is a fully onsite position in St. Peter’s, MO

Job Description: We are seeking dedicated Food Services Workers to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional meal service to patients in the hospital, ensuring their dietary needs are met with accuracy and care. There are 4 openings available.

Responsibilities:

• Provide meal service to patients, including menu selections, tray assembly, catering rounds, tray delivery and retrieval, and recording of intake and calorie counts.

• Handle special requests and maintain galley and floor stock to ensure efficient nourishment delivery to patients.

• Deliver meals to assigned areas and document meals and calorie intake.

• Round on patients to ensure their dietary needs are met in accordance with departmental expectations.

• Assemble meal trays and menus in accordance with guidelines.

• Communicate patient diets, meal delivery, and special requests with the patient care team.

• Perform a variety of food service functions such as setting up service areas with food, utensils, and garnishments, food portioning, serving, sanitation, assembling patient trays, and assisting with customer requests.

• For the first half of the shift, sit in an office, call each patient room to take lunch orders, and subsequently assist in building trays and other team needs.

Essential Skills:

• Customer service in a professional and friendly manner.

• Follow food safety and portion guidelines.

• Assemble meals according to the menu, diet order, and correct protocol.

• Ensure the work area is set up and supplies and products are organized before, during, and after the shift.

• Clean and sanitize work station and utensils.

• Use equipment and materials properly and safely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in food service, cleaning, hospitality, food preparation, tray line, customer service, and food production.

• Customer service-oriented and able to handle customer-facing roles effectively.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
