Job Title: Production Worker
Job Description
The Mixer will be responsible for reading instructions on each production order to ensure adherence to current customer requirements and the company quality policy. They will clean tools and maintain tool boards, practice safe work habits, and report unsafe conditions or actions to the supervisor/manager. The role includes troubleshooting product issues, ensuring materials are weighed and packaged according to specifications, and keeping the work station and surrounding area clean and organized. The Mixer will also make batches for the production of rubber products.
Responsibilities
Read and follow instructions on each production order.
Adhere to customer requirements and company quality policy.
Clean tools and maintain tool boards.
Practice safe work habits and report unsafe conditions or actions.
Keep work station and surrounding area clean and organized.
Troubleshoot problems with products.
Ensure materials are weighed and packaged according to specifications.
Prepare boxes or baskets for both lines and keep them organized and stacked properly.
Make batches for the production of rubber products.
Essential Skills
Experience as a production worker.
Ability to weigh and measure materials.
Experience with machine operation and changeover.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and tape measures.
General labor and assembly skills.
Ability to perform inspection and labeling tasks.
Experience in chemical mixing.
Forklift operation skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to stand in a stationary position for approximately 12 hours per shift.
Must be able to lift 55lbs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Statesville, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.
