SealingTech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics and Inventory Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency while ensuring seamless coordination across all logistics functions. This position requires deep expertise in supply chain management, inventory control systems, and warehouse operations, as well as the ability to lead teams and implement strategic improvements. As the Logistics and Inventory Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods within the organization. Your responsibilities will span across supply chain management, inventory control, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of products, while also implementing strategies to enhance inventory management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and minimize stockouts.
Monitor inventory turnover rates, analyze demand patterns, and adjust replenishment strategies accordingly.
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records and reconcile any discrepancies.
Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
Design and implement logistics strategies that align with business objectives and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Optimize transportation routes, modes, and carriers to minimize transportation costs and delivery lead times.
Evaluate and select third-party logistics providers when necessary, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
Oversee the organization and layout of warehouses or storage facilities to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
Implement best practices for receiving, storing, and dispatching goods while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Develop processes for picking, packing, and shipping orders accurately and efficiently.
Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and operational performance for management review.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the logistics and inventory management functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of proven experience in logistics and inventory management roles within the IT sector.
Demonstrated track record of successful supply chain optimization initiatives.
Proficiency in inventory management software, warehouse management systems, and data analysis tools.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions.
Expert knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry standards.
Experience with international logistics and customs regulations.
Proven leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving capabilities in dynamic environments.
Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with vendors and stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
US Citizen
Must possess a Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
APICS or CSCMP certification
OSHA and Forklift certification
DoD experience
This role has an internal job title of a Logistics Inventory Manager with a general base salary range of $72k to $113k. While this salary range (aligned with current national standards) may be broader, we are specifically targeting $80k to $100k for this position, set in line with internal benchmarks. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for bonuses. Please note that this position is a temporary position with the possibility of being converted to a permanent role.
