Description
We are working is a client who is offering a short-term contract opportunity for a Job Evaluation Consultant in Stillwater, Minnesota. This role is crucial within their government sector, where you will be analyzing and standardizing IT job descriptions across divisions. Your work will focus on understanding the language and terms used in technology, collaborating with IT leadership, Human Resources, and aligning skillsets with job titles.
Responsibilities:
• Standardize IT job descriptions, ensuring uniformity throughout the layout and format
• Collaborate with IT leadership and HR in aligning appropriate skillsets with job titles
• Analyze and understand the functional areas within IT, including their structure, skills, and alignment within the department
• Review, analyze, and align department structures within IT from other related government entities
• Advise on the alignment of job titles with appropriate IT divisions
• Develop and compose new job descriptions in alignment with the organizational structure
• Evaluate IT job descriptions, focusing on skills, abilities, and technical experience
• Utilize your strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across the team
• Ensure a high level of attention to detail in all tasks, especially when composing job descriptions
Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a job evaluation role, preferably within the Government sector
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with various departments and senior management
• Proficient in consulting, capable of providing strategic advice and solutions to address job evaluation matters
• Experience in developing job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect the responsibilities and requirements of each role
• Knowledge and understanding of job design, able to create comprehensive job structures that align with the organization's objectives
• Proven track record in rewriting job descriptions, making necessary adjustments to reflect changes in roles or departmental structures
