Paramount Supervising Producer, Social - Entertainment Tonight in Studio City, California

Overview & Responsibilities

The Emmy award-winning production Entertainment Tonight is looking for a data-driven Supervising Producer, Social to serve as the leader of the brands social team and strategy! The right candidate has a deep understanding of the pop culture space and social media platforms. On the social team, we play a vital role within Entertainment Tonight making sure all news stories, shoots, and exclusives are covered on relevant social platforms. The Supervising Producer will manage a team of creative producers and assign, approve, and supervise the publishing of 150+ assets a day across all platforms to an audience of over 26 million!

As the Supervising Producer, you'll have excellent news judgment and the capability to both identify and assign content coverage centered around the current pop culture conversations of the day. The ideal candidate can read the audience, and adjust platform and content strategies based on metrics of both ETs content as well as competitor data. You also have insight into what the audience wants in both video and social assets and have an understanding of video production and social asset creation. You must have a keen eye for details and be able to move fast under tight and shifting deadlines. You will keep track of various event dates, anniversaries, and achievements to build coverage plans.

This role is in daily collaboration with the Broadcast, Digital Video, Editorial, and News Desk teams. Ideally, you have a background in content creation as well as a proven understanding of video production workflows and know what makes a good video and a good post.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and lead the execution of ETs social content strategy including page management, video and asset creation, copywriting, art direction, and publishing strategy for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X

  • Lead a small team of (roughly 10) creative producers who are producing photo assets, vertical videos, copy, and social graphics

  • Give daily content approvals, ensuring all posts meet brand standards, legal and reporting requirements, as well as platform standard processes

  • Direct all aspects of coverage and strategy for all major awards shows, events, and red carpets including video and photo content creation

  • Analyze data reporting on all platforms and pivot quickly and efficiently to increase views, engagement, and revenue

  • Partner closely with the Digital Video team, Broadcast team, Editorial team, and News Desk team to inform coverage strategy/publishing rollouts, and give actionable insights into their content performance on social channels

  • Ensure accurate news coverage and reporting, including confidential sources and high-profile representation

  • Work closely with corporate internal teams (sales, social, marketing, public relations, and legal) to ensure Entertainment Tonight is meeting all social-related corporate responsibilities

  • Provide coverage on various platforms as needed

  • Lead reporting on all platform performance to executive leadership

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of social media experience with at least 2+ years leading a social team of four or more at a brand with an audience of 5 million or more

  • 5+ years working with the Adobe suite, primarily Photoshop and Premiere, as well as social listening tools

  • Experience with daily content creation and large-scale publishing strategies of at least 50+ daily posts across all platforms

  • Experience using data to drive growth in revenue, viewership, and engagement as well as expertise in presenting data to executive leadership

  • Direct content creation experience with short-form video and social assets

Additional Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of platform trends and pop culture audiences on all social platforms

  • Experience in a news environment and acute attention to detail

  • Experience covering events, awards shows, or similar work in real-time

  • Experience collaborating and communicating with multiple internal departments

This full-time role is Los Angeles-based. It is a hybrid position that will see you working from ETs Studio City location on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays. You have the option to WFH on Wednesdays & Fridays.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $125,000.00 - 150,000.00.The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
