Description

Function as a business partner with plant and financial management to effectively manage and control the factory operations. Lead the financial operations at the plant and be accountable for plant level responsibilities including financial reporting, cost accounting, general accounting and business analysis. Position will interact heavily with the corporate accounting function.

• Prepare monthly financial and KPI reports, monthly forecasts, annual operating plan and strategic plan for factory.

• Responsible for internal and transactional controls at factory.

• Analyze and accurately report monthly and annual financial and KPI results and countermeasures to the plant and corporate management.

• Implement and manage cost accounting system for factory including the development of standards. Maintain transactional discipline of the cost accounting system.

• Maintain accuracy of costed bills of materials and routings and ensure they accurately reflect production operations.

• Implement and maintain accurate inventory systems for raw, WIP and finished goods.

• Develop additional reporting systems to support the factory management team.

• Support ERP system enhancements at factory.

• Reconcile all inter-company accounts monthly.

• Assure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Policies. Resolve questions of GAAP and internal controls with corporate financial management.

• Additional financial analysis and project support as needed.

Requirements

Education:

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• CPA, CMA or MBA preferred

Experience:

• 5-7 years as a plant accounting manager in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint), Outlook, and Internet Explorer

• SAP experience preferred

• Demonstrated leadership as part of a cross-function plant management team

• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

• Sound planning and organizational skills

• High level of proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems

• Occasional travel as required
