CAM Professional Staffing CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) in Suffolk County, New York

CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant): $22.25 - $28.75/hour. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Location: Suffolk County Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional care to our patients in various healthcare settings, including long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals. The CNA will assist patients with daily living activities, ensure comfort and safety, and work closely with the nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting. Provide mobility support, including assisting patients with walking, transferring, or repositioning. Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any changes to the nursing staff. Help patients with their personal hygiene needs and ensure they maintain a clean and comfortable environment. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring nutritional intake as needed. Document patient observations and report any changes in condition to the nursing team. Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are well-organized and functional. Follow care plans and work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best care for patients. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, ensuring they feel respected and valued. Adhere to all healthcare protocols and confidentiality standards as required by law. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program. Current CNA certification in NYS. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Previous experience as a CNA in a healthcare setting is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary. Compassionate and patient-focused attitude. Ability to lift, move, or assist patients as needed. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and assist with patient transfers and repositioning. Ability to work in environments requiring bending, lifting, and reaching. Work Environment: Facility Type: Long-Term Care, Hospital, Rehab Center, etc. A compassionate and patient-centered environment. Flexible shifts available, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
