Aerotek Quality Inspector in Summerville, South Carolina

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, your main responsibility will be to thoroughly inspect trucks as they are delivered to the Final Inspection area. This includes reviewing paperwork to assure trucks have been built per the sales order and all Special Quote Requests (SQR’s) have been completed. You will be expected to assure the assemblers have completed and initialed all tasks and checkpoints on the line inspection sheets and test all the functions of each truck to assure the truck operates properly and safely. Any discrepancies found with the truck should be documented and the assembler notified so all discrepancies can be corrected. Other duties include tagging trucks, completing necessary paperwork after all verifications and inspections are complete, maintaining various spreadsheets and entering all required data into SAP. You may also be required to make data plates and stencils, perform detailing of the trucks (Finish & Marking) to expedite truck shipments, and inspect forklifts to check for quality.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Summerville, South Carolina.

Work Environment

This role is a hands-on position that requires you to be on the field, inspecting and handling various types of trucks. You will be working closely with assemblers and other inspection personnel to ensure the quality of our trucks. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, is crucial for this role.
