Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities 

• Frame buildings, and other structures by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Install floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, windows, doors, trim moulding and insulation
• Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed 
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
• Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
• Have a basic understanding of building codes and comply with all company and governmental guidelines
• Have knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA)
• Read and interpret blueprints, techical drawings and job scopes
