PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Position Overview
As aProduction Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing, maintaining, and developing our production processes in accordance with our Lean principles. Your role will involve continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and ensure the highest quality standards in our manufacturing operations.
This role is based on-site at Permobil's brand new cutting-edge innovation center in Birsta, Sundsvall, at the state-of-the-art facility, which unites research, manufacturing, and sustainable practices under one roof. Our commitment is to cultivate an inclusive environment that enhances accessibility, participation, and the development of world-class mobility solutions for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, optimize, and maintain operations aligned with strategic goals,
Drive production and support function improvements from a Lean perspective,
Lead improvement projects within the organization and with external customers/suppliers,
Act as project manager for new product development with a holistic approach,
Support production leaders in developing assembly staff,
Enable warehouse, production, and customization teams to meet set goals,
Manage and enhance daily operations, visual planning, and project management,
Prepare, industrialize, and balance new products in production,
Report and address quality, environmental, and safety issues,
Actively participate in PCI teams,
Report incidents, accidents, and safety risks,
Stay updated with the latest technology and developments in the production area.
Qualifications & Skills:
Technical education from a college/university or equivalent,
Experience with MS Office and ERP systems,
Proven ability to lead and drive improvement initiatives,
Workshop knowledge,
Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
