Job Description

Our Buildings & Places team in Sydney are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the continued growth of the business. This opportunity presents an excellent opportunity to develop your experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects within the defence and data-centre space.

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Utilise your extensive design experience to facilitate high-quality and cost-effective work on a variety of projects varying in size, scope and sector.

  • Lead mechanical designs and delivery for our major client projects including participating in the technical review of projects whilst working collaboratively with the broader team.

  • Assist in the mentoring and guidance of junior engineers within the local and national team including performing quality control review of design calculations and drawings.

  • Work effectively within our multi-disciplinary engineering teams on major projects including contributing to interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Experience working for a Building Services consultancy or have significant design experience working as a Senior Engineer in the Mechanical Services field.

  • Proven knowledge and experience working within a technical design-focussed HVAC/Mechanical Engineering role.

  • Demonstrable design experience across Defence and data centre / high-tech projects.

  • A track record in client management skills, project delivery and the ability to manage project priorities whilst communicating with internal and external stakeholders on key project deadlines and deliverables.

  • Use your Tertiary Education (BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering) alongside your understanding of Australian Building Services Projects and Standards to impart your technical knowledge to clients, junior engineers and broader teams on a range of major projects across Australia.
