Description

Nick Corieri with Robert Half is in search of a Controller with Commercial Real Estate, Property Management or hospitality experience. This role involves managing and building a newly developed hospitality department due to company growth and will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions for a portfolio of hospitality properties and ensuring compliance with GAAP and USALI standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee centralized accounting functions for a portfolio of hospitality properties

• Ensure adherence to GAAP and USALI standards throughout all departments

• Implement internal controls to safeguard assets

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, and ensure timely payments

• Lead daily activities for accounts payable, receivables, payroll, cashiering, and general ledger

• Develop and present monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and budgets

• Conduct weekly cash flow analysis and report findings to Group Controller

• Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate hotel operations and train managers on fiscal responsibilities

• Communicate financial concepts clearly to drive outcomes

• Lead finance and accounting across the organization

• Administer key accounting and operating systems, including M3, electronic purchasing, POS, and PMS

• Participate actively as a key member of the finance leadership team

• Implement new system implementations, including operational and accounting team tasks and milestones

• Identify and evaluate emerging software technologies to improve accounting efficiencies and reporting speed and accuracy.

Skills:

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services

• Familiar with DCAA

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Understanding of ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiar with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Auditing

• Experience with Budget Processes

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding of ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with DCAA regulations and requirements

• Experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions

• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions efficiently

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing procedures and practices

• Familiarity with Budget Processes in the Real Estate & Property sector
