Ideal candidates will be those who currently have project finance experience OR someone coming from the commercial real estate industry (this employer not a real estate company though).
Duties of the Finance Manager will include...
Assist in tracking and coordinating the progress of projects on a regular basis to ensure that the project is on-track by developing and maintaining detailed project schedules
Interface with project staff at local entity levels to develop project forecasts and analyze project schedule and costs to complete the project and ensure that those costs are properly recorded in the financial accounting system
Assist to prepare and process project budgets, change orders, and timely monthly invoices
Assist project staff with preparation of budgets for new projects and change orders in conjunction with clients and other team members
Participate in cost risk assessment and schedule risk
Perform project internal audits and financial reconciliations
Support development, administration and monitoring of project sub- consultant agreements
Liaise between Project Technical Leads and Project Managers to monitor and control project resourcing and accounting
Assist with compliance
Provide general team support / office support functions as required
Report to the Business Centre Leadership with regard to ongoing financial matters
Requirements
Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems
MBA or CPA is an asset
Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Project accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
