Summary

The Quality Control Production Inspector will maintain quality standards as defined by the employer, by approving or rejecting incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, monitoring the quality of materials, and documenting the results at any assigned Monarch work site. The Quality Control Production Inspector will coordinate with all staff and workforce by providing feedback relative to quality issues and corrective actions needed to support the quality standards. The Quality Control Production Inspector may assist with meeting production goals if needed. This position reports directly to the Monarch Enclaves Manager.

Requirements

  • Oversees the quality of materials used in any assigned area per production standards.

  • Approves or rejects incoming materials by comparing conformance to specifications, conducting visual and employer defined tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials as defined by the employer's return policy.

  • Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, quality of products, changes in work methods and use of equipment to increase overall production efficiency.

  • Coordinates with employee support staff and management, as needed, to communicate any quality concerns and/or corrective action.

  • Provides daily work direction and feedback in a timely manner to maintain the quality of assigned job duties on a continual basis.

  • Provides support to the workforce in the absence of the direct supervisor as needed.

  • Performs regular quality checks and corrective actions as needed.

  • Maintains job-required certifications and/or licenses.

  • Coordinates with the site supervisor to ensure the quality of work performed in any assigned area meets standards.

  • Supports the Goals and Mission of Arc of Onondaga County. Communications and personal performance reflects the Agency's commitment to teamwork, compliance with policies and procedures and respect for individuals and staff.

  • Responsible for accurate completion of assigned reports, i.e. daily safety checks, quality control histograms, and production records.

  • Arrives at a job site without the use of a company vehicle.

  • Attends and participates in required Arc of Onondaga meetings, staff development and training programs.

  • Establishes and provides clear, detailed and legible production documentation, logs & compliance records required by Arc, and other government agencies.

  • Conducts all agency business and complete job responsibilities in accordance with agency Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Plan.

  • Performs other job-related support and services as required or assigned by management.

    Education & Experience Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Business Management or a Qualified trade school certificate (i.e. Boces).

  • Two to three years of related experience.

  • Combination of education and experience which, in the judgement of the employer, equals above standards.

  • A valid NYS driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.

  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.

In addition, the incumbent has accountabilities for monitoring and ensuring that workers comply with all safety standards and procedures.

    Physical Demands & Working Conditions

    W ork may require physical exertion equivalent to lifting up to 50 pounds, for approximately 25% - 75% of their workday, while moving materials and/or operating equipment. Incumbents are frequently exposed to undesirable environmental conditions. Position requires physical stamina, endurance, and physical manipulation. Accountabilities require sustained amounts of time sitting, walking and/or standing. The use of safety equipment and/or specific precautions is req uired .
