SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Regional Services Coordinator will report to and work very closely with the Service Extension Director, who leads the overall strategy for service units . In the absence of the Service Extension Director, the Regional Services Coordinator will report to the Director of Advancement. In general, the Regional Services Coordinator is responsible for all liaison and activity between assigned Service Units and The Salvation Army. In addition, they are to maintain a working relationship with the Corps Community Center Officers in their assigned area.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Schedule and maintain regular visits with Service Unit volunteers
Document meeting notes, action steps and recruitment efforts
Prepare and make presentations on behalf of The Salvation Army with local civic, volunteer and other nonprofit groups
Support and encourage current volunteers in their established roles
Recruit new volunteers to complement each unit’s structure
Coordinate, develop and plan with Service Extension Director county-wide meetings annually
Encourage campership development and participation from Service Unit areas and educating with use of CampMinder with Service Unit volunteers
Assist with camper application process and disseminate LPC (Long Point Camp) materials
Arrange transportation for campers, when deemed necessary
Assist on registration days at camp serving as main point person for designated units’ children
Participate and assist with logistics at camp on ending day - may need to transport children, if necessary
Give guidance and encouragement to the Service Unit volunteers in methods to raise funds locally, such as Christmas Kettles
Be thoroughly knowledgeable of the Service Unit Manual
Attend all staff/Development meetings as requested
Promote awareness of TSA programs available to Service Unit areas
Maintain Smartdata, weekly Service Unit reports, ACR report, and monthly mileage report
Be on-call with all sources of communication so people can make contact
Kettle equipment accountability and maintenance by Service Unit volunteers
Maintain all statistical reports and visit reports.
Monthly Stat reports
Participate and coordinate in Emergency Disaster Relief services, in designated units and other areas as deemed necessary
Expand personal training and preparedness, offer to assist volunteers to participate as well
Complete volunteer profiles for volunteers in SU areas and update volunteer information regularly
Vacation time cannot be taken from the Friday after Thanksgiving until Christmas Day
Assist Service Extension Director and the Director of Advancement and with miscellaneous tasks, as needed

Qualifications
SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Associates degree with three to five years of related experience.
A background in social services, marketing, or sales is preferred
A proven ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision
A proven ability to manage and lead others in accomplishing established objectives
Able to produce well-constructed and clear written communications and reports
A valid driver’s license that meets The Salvation Army’s Insurance requirements.
Available vehicle during working hours.
