Functional Description:

  • Serves as the face of the organization to customers. Manages geographic areas, business segments, product groups, or large programs. Oversees overall operational performance and success. Responsible for the accountability of the workforce in organizational operations and customer projects.

Discipline Description:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity. Directs and manages all schedules, for the client account or the product family.

  • Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. May perform delivery assurance responsibilities.

  • Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for programs.

  • Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads small to medium sized programs or a single program to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility.

  • Accountable for the P&L of the program to ensure profitability targets are met, and manages a select amount of vendors.

  • Maintains milestones, program plans, schedules and budgets for programs to ensure that the organization's objectives are met.

  • Prepares plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s), and manages value-stream strategy and progress.

  • Monitors strategic planning efforts for moderate and/or difficult programs.

  • Identifies potential problems and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources, changing contractual specifications, and coordinating responses to customer action items.

  • Supports the development of new business growth strategies.

  • Supports the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization's interests.

  • Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Supply Chain or related field of study .

  • 5+ years of management experience with strong business acumen.

  • 5+ years project management, project engineering, or project planning experience (scope, schedule, cost, quality).

  • Decision making ability and leadership skills.

  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).

  • Experience supporting Engineering, Operations Excellence and Lean Processes.

  • Excellent knowledge of Lean Practices, 6-Sigma, Black Belt activities.

  • Advance MS Office Skills.

  • Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices.
