Eaton Corporation Prototype-Inventory Engineer in Tczew, Poland

The Testing Laboratory at Eaton Tczew is looking for Prototype-Inventory Engineer to plan and coordinate lab requests from the eMobility product group to achieve effective execution. The position will also be responsible for receipt and record keeping of lab inventory, working on products: Inverters, Power Distribution Units, Breaktors, DC to DC Converters and others.

What you’ll do:

  • Review incoming test requests for content and format ensuring completeness and compliance. Furthermore, effectively, and professionally work with global product team to update/modify requests so they are in line with established lab procedures, capabilities, and quality standards.

  • Serve as point-of-contact for the cross-functional groups supporting the Lab and facilitates their collaboration. Groups include: Shipping, Inspection, Machine Shop, product team, Met Lab, SCM, outside testing/services, and Marshall Test Services.

  • Support and uphold established eMobility policies and procedures.

  • Work with Lab Manager to identify opportunities for improvement towards increased overall efficiency.

  • Coordinate customer expectations with Lab Manager to define proper prioritization and Scheduling.

  • Provide weekly material update which serves as a read-through for inspection priorities, long-lead time items for builds, customer-return units, machine shop items and planned shipments.

  • Work with the buyer to track in route material and provide regular updates to the team.

  • Design solutions to specified technical fixturing requirements.

  • Produce fixturing drawing in line with international standards for worldwide manufacturing.

  • Create and maintain fixtures BOMs.

  • Cooperation with suppliers in fixture preparation process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology or related field.

  • Up to two (0-2) years’ experience in testing/inventory environment.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or Materials.

  • Project Management experience is nice to have.

  • Tooling design experience (CAD, Creo, Solid Works, etc.) would be an asset.

  • Communicative Polish and English.
