Job Summary

The Pipeline Rehabilitation Technician is responsible for the inspection and rehabilitation of sanitary and storm sewer collection systems. This role involves a variety of tasks including but not limited to; robotic camera inspections, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, and spray applied coating systems to restore and maintain the integrity of underground sewer systems without extensive excavation. The technician ensures that all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Trenchless Pipeline Rehabilitation: Perform trenchless rehabilitation of wastewater pipelines, including CIPP lining and other no-dig methods. Operate and maintain equipment used in trenchless pipeline rehabilitation,

  2. Site Preparation and Inspection: Prepare job sites for trenchless operations, including setting up equipment, traffic control, and site safety measures. Conduct pre- and post-rehabilitation inspections using CCTV and other inspection technologies to assess pipeline conditions and ensure the quality of repairs.

  3. Technical Expertise: Interpret and work from engineering plans, drawings, and specifications related to pipeline rehabilitation projects. Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the rehabilitation process, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding environment and community.

  4. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to protect workers, the public, and the environment. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including those related to wastewater management and environmental protection.

  5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, material usage, and project progress reports. Provide detailed reports on the condition of pipelines before and after rehabilitation, including any recommendations for future maintenance .

  6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure successful project completion. Provide training and guidance to junior team members or apprentices on trenchless rehabilitation techniques and safety procedures.
