Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Aspen IP.21 Systems. This role involves the life cycle management of PIMS architecture, providing end-user support, developing project documentation, and offering technical guidance to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Aspen IP.21 Systems, including life cycle management of the PIMS architecture.

• Provide end-user support including basic IP.21 user training, development of reports, support with Excel add-ins, trend development, and development of Aspen Graphics.

• Provide data access to relevant systems.

• Modify the Aspen IP.21 configuration, including the addition of new tags and modification of existing tags.

• Develop and maintain project documentation, including design specifications and project reports.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

• Ensure that all projects meet regulatory requirements, best practices, and industry standards.

• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve engineering processes and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

• At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of PIMS (Process Information Management Systems), preferably Aspen IP.21.

• Experience leading engineering projects and initiatives.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Process Controls experience is a plus.

• Experience integrating PIMS systems with various other systems (e.g., Automation/Controls systems).

• Experience working with OPC communication is preferred.

• Experience with SQL*Plus is preferred.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Mobile, AL, at the Aerosil Plant located on Evonik Road. The role may involve project-related travel. The work environment is collaborative and offers the potential for growth within the company

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $100.00/hr.
