Danaher Corporation Senior Planner Buyer in Tijuana, Mexico

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of planners and buyers, providing direction and support to achieve departmental goals.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Planning and Procurement:

  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, and production schedules to maintain optimal inventory levels.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to align procurement activities with operational requirements.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Continuously assess and improve procurement processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize supply chain operations.

  • Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

  • Focused in Supply Chain lean and continuous improvement processes.

  • Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement and inventory management.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance to senior management.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to materials transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent supply chain experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPSM) is a plus.

  • Strong problem solving abilities.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with occasional travel to supplier sites and other company locations.
