Amazon EDI/API Program Manager, AmazonLink in Tokyo, Japan

Description

Amazon's Global AmazonLink team is seeking an IT Engagement Manager for Integration (EDI/API) to join our new Supplier Partner Integration team. AmazonLink supports Amazon Retail Supply Chain EDI (electronic data interchange) and API (application programming interface) transactions worldwide.

In this role, you will attract new and existing selling partners to utilize our EDI/API integration solutions, guide partners through all aspects of our integration process until successful go-live, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and processes.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of EDI/API integration from a technical perspective, excellent project management skills, and strong commercial acumen. The candidate should enjoy daily interactions with key selling partners and internal stakeholders while demonstrating the ability to work and deliver in a clear, structured way to achieve ongoing results.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own detailed project oversight for several Supplier integrations in parallel and facilitate communication between all external and internal stakeholders while providing technical consultancy

  • Focus on achieving goals with flexible prioritization and persistence, anticipating, and overcoming barriers to achieve expected results. Engage others in making plans, reaching decisions, actions and results

  • Build and leverage strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders to attract and grow the utilization of our EDI/API integration solutions

  • Deliver best-in-class pro-active integration consultancy through knowledge of our EDI/API integration solutions, the external Supplier process or system/tech related blockers

  • Develop not only excellent knowledge on the technical aspects of our integration solutions, but also have a solid understanding of the underlying business process requirements and know how and when to best utilize other internal experts

  • Handle appropriate and reliable reporting of integration project activities and learnings

  • Add value with post-project analysis and, drive for positive project outcomes, team results and effective future project management

  • Make sound decisions that produce positive long-term impacts. Take a well-ordered, logical approach to identifying business, market, and cross-functional issues, analyzing problems, organizing work, and planning action accordingly

  • Facilitate and lead continuous improvement of our products and processes and implement changes that improve our integration utilization efficiency

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Fluent Japanese; Business English

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
