Manulife IT Production Services management Director in Tokyo, Japan

Position Responsibilities:

  • Find areas to explore for improvement, analyze the problem landscape and come up with solutions.

  • Propose solutions to stakeholders and get buy-ins. Implement and rollout solutions with various parties at the mindset of cross-functional team.

  • Document key information and share knowledge to uplift the engineering culture.

  • Measure the effectiveness of solutions and keep improving. Report and share the status of your activities and escalate when requires attention.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of IT domain, and 5+ years similar experience.

  • Understanding of : IT Operations and IT Service Management framework and relevant processes.

  • Experience with customer communications on IT incident or service reporting.

  • A proactive approach to identifying problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.

  • Knowledge of financial services, specifically Insurance industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present, persuade and influence peers and vendors.

  • Previous success in technical engineering or application support.

  • Proficiency or above in Japanese and English.
