Job Description

Solution Consultant (AMO Solution Consultant) Japan – IC4

The Solution Consultant role is focused primarily on Japan and is responsible to meet monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives working in tandem with the Sales organization. As a member of this team you will add value throughout the sales process in the areas of requirements analysis, solution development, in depth product demonstrations, to transition to professional services. This role is the trusted advisor for presenting the NetSuite product to existing customers during the sales process. An ability to understand business process flow with strong technical and presentation skills is essential for success in this role. This role entails working as a trusted advisor to partners and collaborating closely with their teams. This is a thought leadership role to develop key sales plays and solution plays for Japanese customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritize sales opportunities in the key verticals across the country - Wholesale Distribution, Manufacturing, Retail and Services

  • Develop thought leadership, sales play and solution play for Japanese customers.

  • Be able to engage in Value Management discussions and workshops

  • Take on the role of Industry Principal

  • Enable internal teams and partners on the Sales Plays for Japan

  • Clearly articulate the benefits of NetSuite's applications to all levels including line of business managers and "C" level executives

  • Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to customer’s requests and product enhancements as needed

  • Maintain account and opportunity updates within our internal sales force automation system to manage and prioritize sales opportunities

  • Develop, present and deliver high-impact demonstrations of the NetSuite solution.

  • Perform needs gather and requirement analysis for customers

  • Collaborate with Partners, channel managers and provide solution advisory to drive towards successful deal closure

  • Be a trusted advisor to partners and work with them towards their success in Oracle NetSuite

  • Build trust relationship with C-level executives.

  • Ability to handle complex deals and architect end to end solution for such opportunities

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 10–18 + years in a comparable pre-sales position supporting the sales cycle for deals in CRM, ERP and Ecommerce applications for organizations preferred

  • Have strong understanding of financial concepts

  • Previous application experience in one or more of the following desired:

  • SAP, Oracle e-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, Epicor, Great Plains, AccPac, Best Software-MAS Series, Sales Logix, Siebel or Salesforce.com , Infor, OBIC, Yayoi, PCA, Otsuka Corporation and Local Japanese ERP

  • Deep understanding of 2 or more of the following industry verticals in Japan: Consumer Products, High Tech, Software & Services, Wholesales Distribution, Manufacturing, Engineering & Construction

  • Have experience in developing thought leadership on any of the above verticals in Japan

  • Experience in Value Management

  • Experience in architecting complex solutions involving multiple solutions and integrations

  • Solid presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Proven track record of increasing deal size and accelerating the buying process

  • Successful quota achievement

  • Have worked closely with partners and done enablement for partners

  • Be able to converse in Japanese and English

  • BA/MBA or equivalent applicable work experience
