Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the construction and contractor industry, located in Toledo, Ohio. This role involves various accounting duties such as maintaining accurate customer credit records, processing customer credit applications, and handling customer credit inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable effectively

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure financial accuracy

• Maintain the general ledger by posting and verifying journal entries

• Perform month-end close activities in a timely and precise manner

• Resolve credit inquiries from customers by providing appropriate solutions

• Oversee customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department

• Adhere to all company procedures and accounting principles

• Perform other related duties as necessary. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and enter Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Proven experience in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
