What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.

  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

  • Lead requirements gathering & analysis.

  • Lead user acceptance testing.

  • Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance.

  • Work closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff in the United States and India.

  • Update, implement, and maintain procedures.

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.

  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.

  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.

  • Provide leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.

  • Allocate resources and maintain cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce functionality, preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Salesforce Admin/Developer Certifications are preferred

  • Able to effectively work across time zones with offshore developers and testers

  • Experience with coding in Apex is preferred.

  • Prior build experience with APIs and integrations is a plus,

  • Working experience with middleware tools like Dell Boomi, APIGEE, Attunity is nice to have.

  • Experience in both Build and Run projects desirable

  • Demonstrate writing of technical documents, writing/fixing existing code, holding code reviews, data fixes and testing.

  • Demonstrate functional integration with business users documenting requirements, functional specifications, functional/regression/UAT testing.

  • Completes work; independently receives general guidance on new projects

  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives

  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

Anticipated salary range: $93,500 - $140,280
