Overview
The Account Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day agency efforts on behalf of the client’s product and/or service on assigned accounts. They are primarily responsible for the execution of specific projects or lines of business for the brand. The AE builds rapport and credibility with their client by demonstrating a basic understanding of client positioning and strategy.
They develop strong and positive working relationships with creative, project management, developers, strategy and other agency teams.
Responsibilities
The AE synchronizes communications between both internal and external stakeholders and is responsible for accurate and thorough documentation: status reports, contact report, timelines and client creative revisions. They take ownership of day-to-day tactics and executions within the agency.
For Digital/CRM, the Account Executive needs to understand Digital Channels (Email, Web, Display and Social) and Print (Letters, OEs) and the different steps within the execution process. The Successful Account Executive Is Someone Who
Is creative, passionate about advertising and CRM.
Possesses strong organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrates initiative, accountability and is proactive in their approach.
Has the ability to establish strong relationships with agency partners of all levels.
Has a clear understanding of internal advertising processes, support day-to-day account operations
Key Functions:
Manages/responsible for project execution ensures all timelines are met, including creative development, client review/approval processes and delivering final assets to the development team.
Processes and review day-to-day material thoroughly and is diligent about details and follow-ups.
Ensures management of client expectations around timing and deliverables.
Develops an understanding of the client’s business objectives, the customer lifecycle and experience.
Stays on top of industry and competitive landscape of the client’s products/services.
Provides stakeholders with all information/assets necessary to kick off projects, including past campaign learnings/results.
Develops the ability to write and lead a creative brief, with input along the way.
Qualifications
1 to 3 year of agency account/client management experience.
Solid understanding of the various executional channels including Email, Web, Display and Social) and Print (Letters, OEs).
Experience/understanding of testing strategies considered an asset.
Experience with/understanding of the creative briefing process considered an asset
Ability to manage and support multiple projects - multi-task, prioritize, and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
Demonstrates initiative and is proactive.
Creative and quick conceptual thinker and problem solver.
Ability to work well under pressure and with strict deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
