Corporate Communications and Marketing Associate - 7-Month Contract Position

As a member of Celestica's Brand and Marketing Communications team, the Corporate Communications and Marketing Associate will be responsible for supporting employee communications programs, social media and marketing communications activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build their skills in communications, social media and marketing.

The candidate must be a strong writer who is enthusiastic, creative, detail-oriented and thrives in a collaborative team environment with a high level of energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the global communications and marketing team.

  • Provide internal communications support such as writing and posting content for the company’s intranet, and video production.

  • Assist in developing marketing collateral including writing, managing translations and distribution.

  • Support the social media lead in creating content, executing social media strategies, and generating analytic reports.

  • Support the planning, coordination and execution of internal and external events, including employee engagement activities, tradeshows and conferences.

  • Undertake special projects and other duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Zero to two years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Broad understanding of key marketing and communications principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in Google Docs is required and social media dashboard experience would be an asset.

  • Experience with social media management, content creation and digital marketing tools

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Degree or diploma in communications, marketing or a related field.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data

  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc)

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
